For over the past two years, Stephen has been working as an Associate Engineer with ProSys. His current focus is cultivating his alarm rationalization skills and process control engineering insights to multiple client projects on distributed control systems manufactured by Yokogawa, Honeywell, and Siemens so far. Through ProSys, he aims to continue to work in a variety of industries that look to maximize their plant operations via alarm management, modelmultivariable predictive control techniques, HMI graphics work, and other process controls consulting areas of expertise. He initiated his career as a contracted Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer working at the Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO). While there he learned how to utilize various APC-related software from Dr. Charles Cutler and gained a strong base of field experience primarily at the SAFCO IV ammonia plant, one of if not the largest ammonia plants in the world. After this, he had the opportunity to discover the intricacies of oil and gasoline refining via a contractor stint through ProSys with Marathon Petroleum Company. Stephen, a graduate of the Chemical Biomolecular Engineering Department of Johns Hopkins University and former research assistant of Dr. Dilip Asthagiri's lab group, exhibits the project management expertise and computer programming proficiency expected of a chemical engineer in the high-demand, high-volume manufacturing industries. He's a self-motivated learner and a passionate individual toward the causes and goals to which he commits, aiming to over-deliver on expectations as frequently as possible.
